Responsibilities

  • Manage multi-entity accounting cycles: Oversee daily transactions, general ledger maintenance, and monthly financial closes across a portfolio of client or subsidiary accounts.
  • Achieve reporting deadlines across accounts: Deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for multiple entities on strict schedules.
  • Audit multi-account financial data: Review records across all assigned portfolios, reconcile bank accounts, and proactively resolve cross-entity discrepancies or compliance risks.
  • Reconcile and consolidate accounts: Perform intercompany balance reconciliations, settle accounts payable/receivable, and finalize period-end entries for unified reporting.
  • Master multi-tenant software platforms: Leverage ERPs and multi-entity accounting platforms (e.g., NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks Accountant) to automate multi-account workflows.

Must Have

  • Education:BCom Honours, CA(SA), PA(SA), or CIMA certification.
  • Experience:5+ years of post-article or post-qualification experience in accounting practice or enterprise finance.
  • Perfect written English, Zulu
  • Highly creative and autonomous
  • Advanced Technical Tools:DraftWorx, Caseware, SARS eFiling, CIPC filings, and enterprise ERPs (NetSuite, SAP, Sage 300)

Nice to have

  • Experience working with all types of industries
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Familiarity with Zoho bookings, Sage and Xero
  • Previous experience in a long-term freelance or contractor role
